Artefact used: Dong Song Drum (Origin: Vietnam)
Who: Emperor Li and his daughter, Ming-Ming

When & where: A long time ago, when the Great Wall stretched across China

What: A huge palace sat at the bottom of a hill surrounded by a high stone wall. This kept Emperor Li and Ming-Ming safe from invaders and wild animals.

Problem: One day, the palace was attacked by armies from the land of Ku-Shu. The high stone wall was blown to rubbles. Enemy troops marched into the kingdom. Emperor Li was overwhelmed with fear, worried for the safety of his family and fellow countrymen.

Resolution: Knowing that the General of the enemy troops was a superstitious man, Emperor Li stumbled upon an idea. He rushed to his bedroom and grabbed the Dong Song Drum – a gift from the Hun King of Vietnam. The drum was believed to represent a vessel which took spirits to the next world. Emperor Li knew exactly how the General felt about death – a taboo not to be spoken of. With the drum in his hands, Emperor Li dashed to his front door and threw the drum to the General...

Best of Luck!
